Advocacy Committee
We champion safe streets and active mobility, because everyone deserves to move safely and with dignity.
Streets for All
We believe traffic deaths and serious injuries are preventable. Guided by Vision Zero, we organize so decision makers prioritize human life over speed and convenience. Safe streets are not about individual behavior—they are about design, policy, and accountability. Everyone deserves to get where they’re going safely, no matter how they travel.
Mobility should feel safe, affirming, and human. Everyone deserves to move through their community with dignity—not fear. We advocate for streets that respect people as humans, support everyday life, and make room for connection, play, and care.
Biking belongs to everyone. We stand with people of all ages, races, genders, incomes, abilities, and identities who use bikes for transportation, exercise, joy, or necessity. We believe advocacy is strongest when it reflects the voices of those most impacted, and we work to ensure our movement is welcoming, accessible, and community-led.
We know people experience our streets differently. Our approach to bike advocacy recognizes that transportation systems are complex and shaped by many intersecting factors. The challenges facing vulnerable road users are shared, but they impact communities in different ways. We stand with pedestrians, transit riders, people with disabilities, and all vulnerable road users. Our movements are stronger when we organize together.
We hold leaders and ourselves responsible. Promises aren’t enough—streets must be safe, fair, and built with the people who use them. We fight for real change and measurable results while being mindful that good intentions can still lead to harm. We are committed to assessing our impact and owning up to mistakes.
