Indy Swap Meet
Annually in February, we organize an awesome bicycle and bike parts Indy Swap Meet. Central Indiana Cycling Members get a registration credit for a complimentary table or two bikes in the bicycle sales corral.
In 2025 and again this year in February 2026, this event is a fundraiser for the Arsenal Tech Band.
What type of bikes? – All types of bikes! BMX, mountain bikes, road bikes, gravel bikes, cruisers, and antiques. You might even find trikes, recumbents, and unicycles.
What about E-Bikes? – Bike shop quality e-bikes (Classes 1, 2, & 3) are welcome. Do not bring low quality internet e-bikes or e-motos, as they are fire hazards and we can’t allow them indoors. Your e-bike or e-bike conversion kit should have one of the following safety certifications – UL 2489 or EN 15194 – or it won’t be allowed inside with the battery installed.

Classic bicycles are great because they are so easy to repair, upgrade, and maintain. A well maintained bicycle can last for decades of use.
Don’t be surprised to find bikes and parts from the 70s, 80s, and 90s at the Indy Swap Meet – as well as modern bikes, components, and accessories.
Keep an eye out for unique and antique bikes, and don’t forget to vote for Best in Show.
Location & Schedule
Location – Arsenal Tech High School, Moon Hall, 1500 E Michigan St, Indianapolis, IN 46202
Date: Saturday, February 7th, 2026
Schedule for the 2026 Indy Swap Meet –
- 8:30 am – Volunteers Start Setup
- 9:15 am – Vendors Access and Load-in. If you need a truck for load-in, you will get a time slot so we don’t get a traffic jam.
- 10:30 am – Doors Open for Public Attendees
- 12:45 pm – Last Call for Best In Show Votes
- 1:00 pm – Best In Show Awarded
- 1:15 pm – SAD-urday Social Ride roll out (RSVP & Waiver). The location for the Feb 7th ride will be Arsenal Tech with a 1:15 pm start time.
- 1:30 pm – Swap Meet Ends, clean up and load out
- 2:30 pm – Everything out and the space reset to how we found it
Vendor Pricing
Vendors register ahead of time to reserve a table (or multiple tables) and to sell bikes at the Indy Swap Meet. Day of table and bicycle registration / check-in is space limited. Please register ahead of time to ensure that you have a spot!
Pricing for Attendees: No cost to attend!
Pricing for Vendors:
- Per Table – Each table is $20. Vendors can reserve up to 3 tables. If you want a larger vending area, reach out to John South.
- Per Bicycle – Each bicycle is $10 to bring into the Indy Swap Meet.
- Member Discount – Central Indiana Cycling members will receive a $20 coupon code by email to use when they register. They can use that toward a free table or 2 bicycles.
Pricing and Sales: Prices for parts and bikes are set (and negotiated) by the individual vendors. All payments are person-to-person with the vendors. Some vendors only take cash, and others may take electronic payments or Venmo.
Central Indiana Cycling does not guarantee quality or function of any parts, bicycles, or accessories.
Best In Show Competition
Vendors and attendees can vote on bicycles displayed in the bicycle corral for Best In Show. All votes must be in by 12:45 pm. Votes will be counted and the winner will be announced at 1:00 pm.
A bicycle that isn’t for sale can be entered into Best In Show by paying the $10 for a spot in the bicycle corral. Just mark the bike as Not For Sale – Best in Show Candidate.
The Best in Show Winner gets an award of cool Central Indiana Cycling Swag, and we’ll post a photo of the bicycle in the next newsletter and the Central Indiana Cycling social media.
Swap Meet History
This is a long running event! We are excited to continue the tradition, keep quality bikes on the road and trails.
The Indy Swap Meet comes to the organization from the Central Indiana Bicycling Association (CIBA).
Not long after CIBA was formed in 1971, there was a Recycle and Repair event at the Brookside Community Center in April 1973. This was the precursor of what became the CIBA Swap Meet. In the January 1974 CIBA newsletter an announcement appeared about “a Bike Clinic and Swap Meet” to follow the Annual Meeting on Sunday, February 18th, 1974 at the Krannert Community Center.
Swap Meet Social Ride RSVP for the Social Slow Roll
The SAD-urday Slow Social Ride will start and end at Arsenal Tech on Feb 7th. This weekly Winter ride helps us beat the SADs (Seasonal Affective Disorder), by getting outside and enjoying a bike ride with friends.
The Feb 7th ride starts at 1:15 pm, and the route will be 10-15 miles. Usually the ride includes a mid-ride or post ride refreshment stop.
RSVP / Waiver Form Required – Ride updates will be sent to the RSVP list.

Volunteers have made this event successful and fun since 1973. Thank a volunteer when you’re at the Indy Swap Meet!
There are several different volunteer roles and time slots, including the ride marshals for the Saturday Social Ride after the Indy Swap Meet.
Concessions and Refreshments
The Arsenal Tech Band will be running a fundraising concession stand during the Indy Swap Meet. Support arts and music when you get lunch or a snack during the event!
