The Summer Bike Tour begins and ends at the Factory Arts District and includes tastings from food and drink spots between Highland Park and Brookside Park.

Along the way, riders will stop at the Kan Kan Theater to watch short videos and learn more about the mission of Friends of Pogue’s Run. Participants will also explore local history and landmarks, including the point where Pogue’s Run disappears underground, a photo stop at Highland Park with the city skyline, and other stories from the Near Eastside.

· Date and Time: Sunday, July 19, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

· Location: Factory Arts District parking lot at Brookside and 11th St., Indpls.

· Cost: $40 per person, including all tastings and samples. The ride will take place rain or shine unless lightning is detected. You may cancel up to 48 hours before the ride for a refund.

Friends of Pogue’s Run (FOPR) is a volunteer collective that has worked since 2012 (under Reconnecting to Our Waterways) and continuing under Keep Indianapolis Beautiful (KIB) to help enhance the quality of life and improve the environment along the Pogue’s Run and its surrounding neighborhoods. Funds from this event are used to further FOPR’s mission by providing a platform from which like-minded citizens with waterway interests gather and support improving the Pogue’s Run waterway and its neighborhoods on the Near Eastside.
